PORT ROYAL, PA - August 18, 2018 - Being that it's his first full year on the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series tour, it makes sense that there's a few tracks on the schedule where it's fair to say Mike Marlar is not the most experienced driver in the pit area. Prior to Saturday night’s event, Marlar had never raced at the Port Royal Speedway. But he walked out of the night a winner – something not a lot of drivers can say they’ve done the first time they visited a new racetrack.

GEORGETOWN, DE - August 16, 2018 - The first of a four-race weekend started out just as planned for Series points leader Chris "Smoky" Madden, as he picked up his seventh victory of the season Thursday night at the Georgetown Speedway. In short, Madden was strong throughout the event. Winning his heat race and re-drawing the outside pole, he took the lead on lap one of the feature and never looked back, leading every lap of the Fulton Bank 40 on his way to another $10,000 payday.

Defending Series Champion Brandon Sheppard Wins $50,000 and USA Nationals

Second in a row, three out of the last four, 11th of the season & 35th of his Outlaws career

NEW RICHMOND, WI — Aug. 4, 2018 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series was the headliner for one of the most prestigious races in the country, the 31st annual USA Nationals. The fast 3/8-mile, high-banked dirt oval of Cedar Lake Speedway, located just across the Minnesota / Wisconsin state line and northeast of Minneapolis, MN in New Richmond, WI, was host to the 100-lap main event of the weekend. Defending Series Champion Brandon Sheppard took home the big payday, grabbing the lead away from Jimmy Owens on lap 23 and holding off Brian Shirley to pick up his second victory in a row, sweeping the weekend at Cedar Lake, his 11th Series Feature win of the season and 35th of his Outlaws career.

It was Qualifying night featuring the unique Double Heat Races format. Passing points were accumulated based on positions gained in the two heat races each competitor competed in during the night.

NEW RICHMOND, WI — Aug. 2, 2018 — The 31st annual USA Nationals weekend kicked off on Thursday, August 2nd at the immaculate 3/8-mile of Cedar Lake Speedway, located just across the Minnesota/Wisconsin state line and northeast of Minneapolis, MN in New Richmond, WI. The first of three nights of racing for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series, saw the teams vie for a $6,000-to-win payday and some important track time in anticipation of Friday and Saturday’s show. After swapping the lead back and forth several times over the course of the race, Brandon Sheppard slipped by Jonathan Davenport for the final time coming down for the checkered to secure his 10th Feature win of the season.

Madden Wins Sundrop Shootout at Shawano Speedway, Moves into Tie for Points Lead

SHAWANO, WI — July 31, 2018 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series returned to the big half-mile of Shawano Speedway, located west of Green Bay in Shawano, WI, for the next race on the Week of Wisconsin tour on Tuesday, July 31st. The $10,000-to-win Sundrop Shootout also marked the 10th all-time appearance by the most powerful stock cars in the world. When all was said and done after 50 laps, Chris Madden started on the pole and dominated all 50 laps en route to his sixth Feature win of the season. With the victory, the Gray Court, SC standout moved into a tie for the points lead in the chase for the 2018 Series Championship.

PLYMOUTH, WI — July 30, 2018 — For the first time in World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series history, the most powerful stock cars in the world invaded the 1/3-mile of Plymouth Dirt Track (Sheboygan County Fair Park), located east of Fond du Lac in Plymouth, WI, on Monday, July 30 for the Wisconsin Refrigerated 50. The 171th host track in Series history saw defending Series Champion Brandon Sheppard grab the lead on lap five and hold off 2017 Rookie of the Year Devin Moran to score his ninth Feature win of the season and 33rd of his Outlaws career.

FAIRBURY, IL — July 28, 2018 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series headlined one of the most prestigious races in the country on Friday and Saturday night: the 29th annual Prairie Dirt Classic presented by Bank of Pontiac. The fast quarter-mile of Fairbury American Legion Speedway, located northeast of Bloomington in Fairbury, IL, served as host to the 100-lap Feature, paying $30,000 to win. Fans cheered as a rising star emerged victorious with the biggest win of his career. 2017 World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year Devin Moran passed defending Series Champion and defending Prairie Dirt Classic winner Brandon Sheppard for the final time with 21 laps to go to secure the big payday.

Racing action kicked off on Friday, July 27 with four 25-lap World of Outlaws Showdown Qualifier Features paying $2,500 to win and $200 to start apiece, setting part of the field for Saturday’s 100-lap, $30,000-to-win main event of the weekend.
