World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series Schedule Change

 
CONCORD, N.C.-July 6, 2017-A last-minute change in North Central Speedway's promotional assets has required the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series to remove the event on Saturday, July 15, from its 2017 Series schedule.
 
Conversations between track management and World of Outlaws officials for a future date are ongoing.
 
The World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series will invade Minnesota beginning Saturday, July 8 at Deer Creek Speedway for the traditional Gopher 50 event. The Series heads to Ogilvie Raceway on Wednesday, July 12, with a stop at Hibbing Raceway on Thursday, July 13 before heading to Grand Forks, N.D., on Friday July 14 at River Cities Speedway.

Showdown heads to Federated Auto Parts at I-55 Raceway

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.— June 30, 2017— The showdown between the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series versus the DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Terre Haute Action Track has been canceled due to a heavy afternoon storm paired with persistent rain throughout the rest of the day. The traveling tours stacked with the best Dirt Late Model drivers in the world are headed to Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, MO on Saturday to kick off the month of July.

FVP Outlaw Clay Classic Postponed to Chi Town Showdown in October

JOLIET, IL— June 28, 2017— Heavy rain appeared in the area as the World of Outlaw Craftsman® Late Model Series pulled on to the track at the Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway for the FVP Outlaw Clay Classic. The rain, alongside reports of dangerous lightning from the Will County Sheriff’s department, have postponed the feature event of 50-laps to Oct. 13, 2017 during the Chi Town Showdown at the Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway. The lineup for the postponed event is already set from tonight’s qualifying and heat races. Tickets for Wednesday’s show will be honored at face value during the postponed date at the Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway.

Schatz Set for Busy Week at the Dirt Oval at Route 66

Eight-time Outlaw Sprint Car champion to run both Sprint Cars and Late Models at FVP Outlaw Clay Classic

CONCORD, NC — June 26, 2017 — One driver is set for a busy week when the World of Outlaws rolls into Joliet, IL for the FVP Outlaw Clay Classic at the Dirt Oval at Route 66. When the opportunity arises, Donny Schatz is one driver that jumps at the chance to race anything with wheels on it, even if that makes his schedule a little busier. Schatz will strap into his No. 15 Arctic Cat World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series ride on Tuesday night, and the following night he’ll switch gears and jump into his No. 15 Rocket Chassis with the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series. Firecracker 100 Now One Huge Day

Thursday and Friday Preliminary Events Merged to Form Saturday Afternoon Showcase

SARVER, Pa.— June 23, 2017 — Persistent rain hitting the area throughout the day has forced Friday’s Firecracker 100 program to be cancelled. Thursday’s postponement and Friday’s cancellation sets the stage for a jam-packed Saturday at Lernerville Speedway featuring a doubleheader with Thursday’s preliminary event in the afternoon and the 100-lap finale later that night.

Thursday's Firecracker 100 Program Postponed to Saturday

SARVER, Pa.— June 22, 2017 — Due to heavy afternoon rain on Thursday, the racing surface at Lernerville Speedway will not be not suitable for competition at tonight’s first Firecracker 100 qualifying event. Despite all efforts from the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series and Lernerville Speedway crews, Thursday’s event will be postponed to Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. Friday’s program for the Firecracker 100 is still on as scheduled.

All tickets for Thursday’s program can be used for the postponed event on Saturday afternoon. Free fan pit passes for Thursday’s show will be accepted for Saturday afternoon. Bring any pit pass bands to the pit gate and ticket stubs to the main ticket building to be replaced for a new band or ticket. On Saturday, pit gates will open at 10 a.m., grandstands will open noon and racing will begin at 1 p.m.

The star-studded drivers’ list is once again choc-full of big names who have found Victory Lane in the sport's biggest crown jewels. Many of those have done so on multiple occasions, including recent Dream 100 winner Scott Bloomquist — the only three-time winner of the Firecracker 100 — and two-time winner Jimmy Mars.

World of Outlaws and Summer Nationals Set to Collide at Terre-Haute and Pevely

Dirt Late Model Racing’s Best Go Head-to-Head

CONCORD, NC – June 19, 2017 – The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series and the DIRTcar Summer Nationals tour are set to meet for two star-powered showdown races later this month. The best Dirt Late Model racing has to offer will battle head-to-head on June 30 at Indiana’s Terre-Haute Speedway before starting July at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, MO on July 1.

For the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series drivers, the challenge events against the Summer Nationals stars conclude a busy stretch of six races in 11 days in four different states. A World of Outlaws race already brings a wildly talented group of wheelmen, but adding the talent of the Summer Nationals tour drivers to the field adds another layer of difficulty.
