DIRTcar Nationals will lay foundation for 2017 season

This time next month a new season will be underway for the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series. For the third year in a row the series will kick off at Screven Motorsports Complex on February 17-18 before the real madness begins at the 46th annual DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park.

Unified Dirt Late Model Specs Updated

Rear Suspension Rules Revised

CONCORD, N.C.– Jan. 25, 2016– Members of the Unified Late Model Council released a bulletin that further refined parameters effecting the suspension of dirt late models. All teams should refer to the series rulebooks for the complete rules and specifications.

2017 Unraveled and Unfiltered

CONCORD, N.C. – Jan. 13, 2017 – The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series gains a few new bruisers and everyone is gearing up for the season’s first shootout in 2017. The drivers and their crews will travel across familiar and unfamiliar terrain in hopes of keeping the title of the fastest guys around. The first real test for the traveling band will be a double header in February at Screven Motorsports Complex for Winter Freeze VII and Volusia Speedway Park for DIRTcar Nationals. With new names on the books for the 2017 season, anything could happen as we race toward World Finals in November.

World of Outlaws and DIRTcar Racing partner with Racing with Jesus Ministries

CONCORD, N.C. — Dec. 30, 2016 — Amidst all the race day hoopla, drivers, team members and officials found peace in one place at Thompson (Conn.) Speedway. Under a nearby shade tree, Reverend Pat Evans instilled both belief and the power of God in everyone under the limbs before hot laps. Evans offered guidance through The Word of the Lord, which eventually blossomed into “Racing with Jesus Ministries” in October 1980. Evans nurtured the “Racer’s Church” for 25 years until his passing.
